I have never heard of this before until today and it's really exciting. I love learning about protests and especially the rights for our troops who have served our country. They were promised their money and I think it was right of them to fight for what they were promised. 10,000 soldiers were at the protest. I found it interesting the correlation between The Grapes of Wrath and The Bonus Army and how they burned their camps. It shows us how badly our government can treat people in a time of crisis.
ReplyDeleteYou guys did well you knew your topic but i think you read off your cards to much. You should be more confident and not dependent on the card. Good speaking and media though.
ReplyDeleteYou guys had so much information on the subject. It was almost overwheleming. However, it was really sad and interesting to learn that not much has grown since the Great Depression in terms of protest. You seemed to know the informatin and had good talking levels and speed.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in high school, we kind of went over this subject but not that real in depth. It was really interesting to get the whole story. You guys did have lots of information to share, although I was wondering exactly what part about it was iconic. You did read off your cards a lot but over all you did good speaking and you seemed to really know your information.
ReplyDeleteThis was the first time I've ever been taught about this, so it was all new to me. I thought it was very wrong how the government treated the people that fought for our country. I found the video very helpful on understanding the topic. Overall I thought you had a very good presentation.

ReplyDeletei learned about them in high school but i didnt know much about it, you guys had a lot of information about on it. i liked the clip you guys played, it was very informational. it seemed like an interesting protest and i was shocked at how president hoover reacted to it.
ReplyDeleteYou guys knew a lot on your subject and did a good job relaying that information to us. You read off your cards a little to much and Holy was off to the side rather than in the middle of the room.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting presentation and nicely put together. I believe that it was very iconic because without the GI Bill or other benefits for serving in the military I don't know how many people would be willing to risk their lives for our freedom.

ReplyDeleteI kind of forgot about the Bonus Army from highschool, and we didn't really talk about it in depth, but your group gave a good informative presentation. Your video selection was good and I know how hard it can be to find a video that is actually good.
